Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

Artisan Springfield Concrete and Masonry, springfieldconcreteandmasonry.com, projects@springfieldconcreteandmasonry.com

Accepting these terms

These terms apply when you use the Artisan Springfield Concrete and Masonry website, starting from our home page, and when you ask us for an estimate or hire us for work. By using the site or booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.

If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or book work through it. A signed written agreement for a specific job controls over these terms wherever the two differ.

What we do

Artisan Springfield Concrete and Masonry is a masonry contractor in Springfield, IL, doing brick, block, stone and concrete work for homeowners in Springfield and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew on our About page.

Service descriptions on this site are general information about our trade and the work we do. The scope, materials and finish for your project are set by your written estimate or agreement, not by the website.

Estimates and pricing

We give free on-site estimates, and asking for one puts you under no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure at the visit, so it covers the work described in it and nothing more.

Masonry and concrete jobs sometimes reveal conditions that can't be seen until the work is open, such as hidden damage, poor soil or failed earlier repairs. If that happens, we'll stop, explain what we found and get your approval before doing added work or charging more for it.

Unless your estimate says otherwise, it stays valid for 30 days, because material costs and our schedule change over time.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you, but it is a target, not a promise. Rain, freezing temperatures, material delays and earlier jobs running long can all move it, and some masonry and concrete work can't be done properly in poor weather.

If we need to reschedule, we'll tell you as early as we can. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (217) 210-0722 as soon as possible. Any deposit and cancellation terms for your job are stated in your written estimate or agreement, including how much of a deposit is refundable once materials have been ordered.

You agree to give our crew reasonable access to the work area on scheduled days and to let us know about buried lines, sprinkler systems, drainage or anything else on the property that could affect the job. Where a job needs a permit, your written agreement says who is responsible for obtaining it.

Payment

Payment amounts, due dates and accepted payment methods are set out in your written estimate or agreement. Larger jobs may call for a deposit before work starts or payments as stages are finished.

The final balance is due when the work is complete unless your agreement says otherwise. If a payment is late, we may pause further work until the account is brought current, and you may be responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance as Illinois law allows.

Our guarantee and warranty limits

We stand behind our work, and if something we did isn't right, tell us and we'll work with you to make it right. Any written warranty for a particular job is the one that applies to it, and it covers the workmanship described there.

Materials are covered only by their makers' own warranties. Our work also isn't covered for damage caused by things outside our control, including settling or movement of soil, water and drainage problems we didn't install, freeze and thaw damage on surfaces not maintained as advised, de-icing salts, impact, misuse or later work by others.

Natural stone, brick and concrete vary in color and texture, and concrete can develop small surface cracks as it cures. These are normal traits of the materials, not defects.

Information on this website is provided as is. Except for any written warranty we give you for a job, and to the extent the law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

Artisan Springfield Concrete and Masonry is licensed and insured. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of property or delay costs, arising from our work or from use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow a business to limit.

Resolving disputes

If you have a concern about our work or a bill, please call us first so we can look at it together, because most problems are settled faster that way. You can reach us through our Contact page.

If we can't resolve it informally within 30 days, either side may bring the matter in a court with jurisdiction in Sangamon County, Illinois, including small claims court where the amount qualifies.

Governing law

These terms and any job we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes apply to estimates and jobs agreed after the update, not to work already under a signed agreement.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Questions about these terms

If you have a question about these terms or an estimate, call us at (217) 210-0722 or send a message through our Contact page, and we'll reply within 1 business day.
